Selling San Miguel Property
We provide a well thought out and documented suggestion for a listing price and the likely selling price range. We do a through examination of your property with suggestions for staging and repairs. (eg. homes that live well are often not the best for staging – think open spaces, less furniture, uncluttered surfaces, clean windows, etc.)
After pricing, staging is the biggest factor that sells houses and we do everything we can to show your property at it's best and we expect you to do the same. If you don’t want to wash your windows or weed your garden this is not the firm to represent your property.
About Ben Pitre
Ben Pitre has been involved in real estate about a decade and a half more than he prefers to acknowledge. He has been a builder, renovator, sub-divider and syndicator in LA, TX, CA and GTO. He has also been a long term residential and industrial landlord.
He became aware of San Miguel in the early 1990's through a shelter magazine spread on Martha Hyder's amazing home. He wondered why a rich lady from Fort Worth would own a spread in a little town in the middle of nowhere and refer to the large parties she gave. He decided he needed to find out what that was about and first visited at Easter of 1994. Like so many he was charmed by SMA but it was not until his first long visit (4 months) in 2002 when he discovered that the real charm of SMA was its residents. He has been a permanent or part time resident of San Miguel since 2003 and expects to become a Mexican Citizen in coming months.
He is almost certainly the only real estate agent in San Miguel who has both demonstrated flower arrangements for the Garden Club and fought in public boxing exhibitions (4-0).
He is a 1976 graduate of Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge (BA Economics) and a 1990 graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles (MBA).
He lives happily on a small ranch outside of town with his five rescue dogs. There he reads, grows succulents and plans his forthcoming hot tub!
